Dear all

It was good to see so many of you yesterday at our online session. I hope you have started using the notes of the things we discussed and you are working on them. It was good to work together as a class to refresh and improve our maths and other skills and to continue reflecting on and preparing for the transition to secondary school. We hope to be able to have another session next week.

Here are your learning tasks for today.

Mr Camilleri

For your literacy this week we are working through a ‘Talk4writing’ pack called TREASURE by James Walker.

There are 14 Activities to complete so you will need to work through at least two activities each day.

Try Activities 7 and 8 today.

Click on the link below to go straight to the activity pack.

Click on the link below to access today’s maths activity.

Watch the video on today’s theme: Summer Week 10: Lesson 4 on ‘Ratio and Proportion Problems.’

Then click on BBC Bitesize next to the video and click on your year group tab to access your work for today.

Please remember you can rewatch the video as many times as you need to and you can go back to it when you are answering the questions.

Also remember to complete your Mathletics tasks. I have assigned 5 tasks for you for this week

Click on the link to access the website and log on with your details.

Some children still have a number of task from before to complete.

For reading this week are listening to the audio story – The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling

Click on the link below to open the audio file. The book has 24 chapters. Try to carry on listening to 2 or 3 chapters each day so we can finish it this week.

Keep a notebook while listening to the reading. Make notes about new vocabulary you can look up later – new words in the text or other powerful words, adjectives, similes etc that you can then use in your writing, including the school memories in the Literacy task above.

Today’s session is about leaning the basics of talking about what day, month and time it is in German.

This lesson includes:

a short film demonstrating how to talk about the time

two activities to try at home

Follow the link to the BBC website to start your lesson.

Have a wonderful week.

Mr Camilleri
