Dear all

It was good to see you again yesterday for our online session. It was a good opportunity to talk about different things such as transition, maths, our blogs and our plans for the leavers’ service on Wednesday of next week.

Below are your tasks for today’s home learning.

WHITEROSE MATHS ACTIVITY

READING

For reading this week we are focusing on reading newspapers.

Click on the link below to access one issue of the FIRST NEWS newspaper from June.

Then try to read at least two pages each day this week. It is full of interesting articles and facts about all sorts of subjects.

Then share something you’ve learned with someone else in your family every day.

FIRST NEWS

TOPIC – Geography

Yesterday we said that one of the Year 6 topics for the Summer term at our school is ‘Discovering London’

Have you done your research about London? What were your three interesting facts about London?

Today and tomorrow I though we’ll be a bit creative and try to use our design and technology skills to make a model of a London Ladmark.

Have a look at the picture below. Choose one you think you can make out of card and other materials. Start working on collecting and cutting all the different parts to size and find some glue or tape to put them together to form your model.

Tomorrow you will then add a few more details and decorate.

PE – MUSIC

Have you looked at our PE and Music Blogs recently?

Every week Miss Durrant sets PE and sports activities for everyone to try at home.

Mr Postles posts videos in which he talks about learning how to sing and play music, famous composers etc.

You can access these two blogs by clicking on PUPILS section and then on PE or MUSIC.

Have a look today!

Have a wonderful week.
