Reading & Literacy – Genre Focus: Newspaper articles
I hope you have enjoyed writing about elves and sprites. This week you’re going to pretend to be a journalist writing a newspaper article. In today’s lesson, you will read a newspaper article and analyse the features of articles. Later during the week, you will review how to use direct and indirect speech and the use of speech marks.

This week, you will need to access Summer Term – Week 12 on the home learning White Rose page. This week’s focus is on units of measurements. In the two first lessons, you will look at different units of measurements in whic context you use them. Then the next lessons will look at conversions of units. To access the activities that go with each day’s lesson, you will need to click on the BBC bitesize link on the right side and then click on Year 5/P6 to access the activity of the day.
