Reading & Literacy – Genre Focus: Newspaper articles

This week we are pretending to be a journalist writing a newspaper article. In today’s lesson, you will plan and write a newspaper report based on what you have studied this week. Make sure you include all the features you have learnt about and that you include some direct and indirect speech!

This week, you will need to access Summer Term – Week 12 on the home learning White Rose page. This week’s focus is on units of measurements. In the two first lessons, you will look at different units of measurements in whic context you use them. Then the next lessons will look at conversions of units. To access the activities that go with each day’s lesson, you will need to click on the BBC bitesize link on the right side and then click on Year 5/P6 to access the activity of the day.
