Year 5

Welcome to Year Five and our Home Learning page!

warm welcome to everyone. We are now in the second part of the Summer term and being away from the busyness of the classroom has been a change for us all. We have shown that we can adapt to new circumstances and be creative whilst learning from home!  We are also discovering new skills and working together. I will be curious to find out what you have discovered about yourself whilst being at home…  Without realising it, this learning experience helps you to take ownership of your learning and develop independence and maturity 🙂

To make the most of your learning experience, access the website from home and complete all the activties !

If you have any questions or you are not sure about a task, then let me know by emailing: putting my name in the subject line.

I look forward to working with you again,

Miss Berglund

Thinking and Talking Task

Some precepts for next year…

It’s this time of the year when we finish school and begin the summer holiday. I hope that you have enjoyed your thinking and talking tasks.

I am sharing with you some precepts that have inspired our Year Six group of pupils that attended school during this last month.

A precept is a rule that some people decide to live by. It can be about understood as a great principle or belief that people follow.

I hope that it will inspire you to think about your learning during the summer holiday:

This week for your learning and talking task, I would like you to think about all the things you have learnt during this time away from school. Can you think of a precept you would like to follow next year?  Try to consider the following questions:

What have you learnt about yourself?

Which subjects have you enjoyed learning?

What would you like to achieve when you return to school?

How can you prepare yourself for your first week back in school?

If you had to say a prayer for the school and our class what will it be ?

This week, I will be meeting with your new Year Six teacher to share with her all the amazing work you have done online.

If you are able to send me some photos of work you have done related to the Thinking and Talking task, you can do this at
