As a school we believe that our children should be active, healthy and happy and we have been fortunate to work with Sustrans as part of the Lambeth School Air Quality Travel Project.
Sustrans have been working with our whole school community to help us understand the link between the air quality around us and the travel choices that we make.
Through a range of events and initiatives – parent sessions, assemblies, clean route mapping with children and parents, car-free days we have all learnt how to limit our pollution exposure by carefully planning our routes to school and choosing sustainable travel modes.
Our Air Ambassadors spent time with Holly, our Sustrans Air-Quality Project Manager to locate the clean air routes to our school. these can be seen on the map below:

2017 marks 40 years of Sustrans who work across England, Wales and Scotland to make residential communities safer for children to play in and easier to travel through on foot or bike.
