We are looking to for a SENDCo to join our team in September 2025, A part-time role, with flexibility over the number of days, we are seeking a highly motivated and inspiring candidate to manage and lead SEND provision across our fully inclusive school. We believe it is our duty to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress and we are looking for the right person to join our team.

St John the Divine is a small Church of England Primary School set in a wonderfully traditional Victorian building, in the small corner of Camberwell in the heart of London.  We take pride in being a school that knows each and every child and in being able to ensure they become the best they can be.  We have an ambitious vision which is shared by staff, governors and parents, enabling our children to develop positive and confident attitudes to learning.   • holds the National SENCO qualification or is working towards completing the qualification by September 2025

  • has experience of working with children with a range of additional needs
  • is a team player and able to work with and alongside others
  • will be committed to fostering a love of learning

Interviews: Interviews will take place in the week beginning 7th July 2025. The interview process will involve a number of tasks, including but not limited to: leading an act of collective worship, a pupil engagement task, observing a lesson and an unseen presentation. Tasks may be altered as a result of the short listing process.
